Firing order          1-3-4-2                  Mechanical petrol pump.

Downdraught carb - Zenith.                  Hardy Spicer prop: shaft.

Rear Axle.

    3/4 floating type and of 'Banjo' pattern with splined detachable axle shafts. Crown wheel and differential are mounted complete in a carrier and fitted as a unit into the housing.

Steering.

    Hour glass worm and sector, with provision for taking up wear. Steering box mounted well forward of front axle, track rod is in front of the axle. Ball joints of the Thompson self-adjusting type.

Suspension.

    Semi-elliptic springs all round

    Shock absorbers - piston type.

    Front are set transversely to act as anti-roll device.

    Springs mounted in Silentbloc bushes at anchor ends.

Brakes.

    Girling type. Brake drums 8" dia.

Tyres.

    Medium pressure - 4.50 x 17.

Chassis.

    The special chassis and floor is a complete welded unit, giving diagonal stiffness, and the body sill is bolted to the frame at numerous points, forming a box section. The front portion of the frame and the cross members are completely boxed and the front portion is also diagonally braced.
