Messrs. John Marston Ltd.,
WOLVERHAMPTON.

For the attention of Mr. Coltman.

Dear Sirs,

We have received the Phantom III radiator matrix with the modified construction, using .005 waterways and .003 airways, for which we thank you.

We are however very disappointed with the weight-saving with this block, its weight being 48.75 lbs. as compared with 51 lbs. for our standard Mark VI block giving a saving of 2.25 lbs. whereas your figures led us to believe that we could save at least 7 lbs. by the above modification.

We should like to know whether this is the maximum weight reduction which you can make, and also what the price alteration would be if we adopted this construction.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
