Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of the 21st July.

As final decisions with regard to the tank dimensions for Mr. E.R. Hall's car were only made immediately before our Works closed for their annual holiday, there is but the remotest chance of the tank being ready before the middle of next month, particularly as we have to get special filler fittings and petrol gauge. We are, however, doing the best we can.

We are afraid that there will be no alternative but for you to complete your body, and if there should be any fouls these can be rectified later.

We note your blue prints Nos. 30035/6, and will endeavour to alter the tank accordingly.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
