| Copy of letter received from:- "SCANDINAVIA" BELTING LTD. 59, Southwark Street, London, S.E.1. CLUTCH & BRAKE LINING DEPARTMENT. 26th July, 1922. Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, Derby. Dear Sirs, With reference to your card of the 10th inst. we have now pleasure in enclosing our new list of "Friction Fabrics and Smallwares for Automobiles". We have for some years been favored with your orders for our Clutch Linings, but not for Brake linings or other Chassis accessories. We should therefore much appreciate the opportunity of sampling and quoting you for our other specialities. A set of six of our "Halo" Patent Wound Non-Metallic Asbestos Clutch Rings were sent you for experimental purposes on the 16th August last. On the 7th Feb. last we also sent one of your cones wound with our "Halo" Patent Fabric. We have so far no report on these samples from you. It may interest you to know that "Halo" Rings are used by Messrs.Armstrong Siddeley Ltd. in all of their multiple clutches also for Primary and Propeller Shaft Oil Joints, and for Clutch Withdrawal Thrust and Ring Liners. During the last year we have supplied them with close on 24,000 of these "Halo" Rings. Brake Shoe Soles and Contracting Band Linings are made from "Halo" fabric, and are already adopted by some Car Manfrs. Your attention is also requested to our prices for "Brasbestos" Brake Lining. This is offered in either Flexible or Die Pressed state. To Messrs.The Austin Motor Co.Ltd. we have supplied during the last ten months over 14,000 pieces of our Flexible Lining. They also standardise our Endless Woven Belts on their Radiator Fans. Our Bonnet & Radiator Dampers may be of interest to you. They are extensively used by Messrs.The Associated Equipment Co. Ltd. and other concerns. The Tubular Damper, as well as "Scandinavia" Cotton Brake Lining, is made in very large quantities for Messrs.The Ford Motor Co.(England)Ltd.
