Dear Sirs,

We acknowledge receipt of your further letter of the 9th inst., ref: Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}3/NJ,91126, but very much regret that we do not manufacture a Rectifying valve with a very low filament consumption, capable of withstanding a reverse peak voltage of 7,000.

The nearest types we can offer you are, the type quoted - OSRAM E.H.T.No.2, of which full information was given in our letter of the 29th October, and the M.R.I. which characteristics as follows:-

Filament volts........... 9
" current........... 5.5 amps.
Max.anode volts........ 10,000.
Total emission (m.a.-) ... 350.

The filament current consumption of E.H.T.No.2 is correct at 2.5 amperes as stated.

You will appreciate that the demand for valves such as you are requiring is practically negligible, and this accounts for the fact that we have no stock valves to these exact specifications.

We trust, however, that you will find one of the two types mentioned above suitable.

Yours faithfully,
THE GENERAL ELECTRIC CO.LTD.,

(Sgd) F.E.Henderson.

Asst.Manager, Valve Dept.
