7th. October 1937.

Messrs. John Marston Ltd.,
Wolverhampton.

For the attention of Mr. Dunn.

Dear Sirs,

Confirming our telephone conversation of to-day with Mr. Dunn, the writer will visit your works on Tuesday next, at 11 a.m. in order to see the process of reconditioning the oil coolers which have been returned to you for this purpose, and also to discuss overheating on Mk VI cores.

We are sending you the Mk VI cores which Mr. Dunn brought over with him recently, one without tanks which you have already flow tested, the other complete with tanks, which we have tested on a car. You will endeavour to flow test the latter (without tanks) and test both these blocks for heat dissipation, as well as the one which we have returned to you to-day (distinguishable by the quantity of feathers and other portions of French fowls adhering to the exterior of same), by Tuesday if possible, so that we can discuss the results.

We have not yet received the Bentley dummy shutter sets, but, in view of your remarks, expect them to arrive to-morrow, together with the Mk V silted up core for our tests.

There is one point which the writer forgot to mention
