RE: CHASSIS NO. B.104-DG. R.P. COLLYER FOR MR. HUNTLEY DRUMMOND.

With reference to the above chassis which is for use in Canada, we have discussed the matter with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and in view of his experience with the Bentley car in U.S.A. and Canada, it is considered essential that the following features should be incorporated :-

(1). Lower geared rear axle.

(2). Geared starter motor.

(3). 1" larger diameter road wheels and special road springs to give 2" more ground clearance.

In addition to the above it is also considered advisable to fit a bonnet with shutters, so that it will be suitable for both extreme cold and hot atmospheric conditions.

We have already fitted larger road wheels and special road springs to two Bentley chassis, and we have had sufficient experience with the geared starter motor to feel quite safe in fitting this.

No doubt you will discuss the above with the Administration with a view to obtaining permission to fit these special features.
