V8940 Expl: Dept: Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Angleterre. 5th. June 1925. Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Mr. Hancock from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} With reference to your daily report 2.6.25. (1) Do you consider the engine has improved in performance. (2) Will you please keep a record of the periods picking up and on retard so that you will be able to note whether they become worse or improve. Will you also please let us know in what way the engine guards should be altered to prevent the dirt getting through. As regards Lytton. I think it is advisable that he should stay there especially whilst you have the two cars. As regards his pay. We recommend that you arrange that normally when the cars are running, he should work 2 hrs. midday and 2 hrs. in the evening. For that time he should book the usual 8 1/4 hrs. Any time in excess of that should be put down as overtime. If the cars are on the road and they are being worked on in the Garage, then he should work the usual Works hours and be paid extra for all overtime. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
