BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3806 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M15.4.28. CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION. X.3806 DIPPING HEADLAMP CONTROLS. X.4555 We did not send you a sch. from here for applying the lubrication to the dipping controls, and when we saw the car last week we did not care very much for the arrangement with a coil. We have been trying as far as possible to XXX avoid the use of coils. We accordingly send you herewith N.sch.2582 shewing two alternatives for dealing with this shaft, and suggest that the very simple one marked fig.1., which only requires one new special bush, and only one drip plug, could be applied to the next set of dipping lamps.
