NEW TYPE ENGINE FEET FOR 40/50 CHASSIS. X.1331. We are running on the Bump Test a set of the new type Engine feet made in bronze. It is noticeable on there that the pad which carried the steering box deflects. it deflects in the neck where it is bolted to the bracket which carried the engine. If the steering wheel is locked and the front wheels are pulled round, it is possible to see the deflection at this point. We anticipate that eventually it will break there, even if it does not break, it introduces a springy feature in the steering. We can notice on the bump test that the pendulum lever appears to deflect more, This is due to the box not being held firmly. MADE AT CROXLEY Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
