Wraith III Front Hub.

-----------------

With our E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/MN.19.3.37 we sent you N.Sch.5070 showing a modified design of front wheel hub and bearing produced by our Research Design Dept. The inner bearing retaining ring at the back of the hub was shown as an aluminium die casting. It has since been determined that it is impracticable to cast correctly the recesses for holding the heads of the bolts which attach the brake drum.

On N.Sch.5109 herewith we show this piece replaced by a mild steel forging machined all over. It has been ascertained that with fitting bolts the circumferential spigot will adequately prevent the heads of the bolts from turning.
