Dear Bill, I am sorry that we were not able to fix you up for to-morrow night, because, as I have told you before, it is high time you saw the strip mill, and I should certainly be interested in seeing any new motor car which emanates from a combination of your genius and Messrs. Rolls Royce's thoroughness, although I cannot believe that I shall ever again be in a financial position to waste so much money on such a mode of transport. As a matter of fact I did not like to tell you on the telephone but I am having to meet a rather important person on Wednesday morning somewhere in the Midlands, so that even had we intended being at home to-morrow night I should not have been able to show you the mill myself, which I want to do. I am afraid Sunday night would not be much better, as I have to leave for Sheffield first thing on Monday morning. I do hope, however, that you will let me know the next time you are anywhere in this direction, and that it will then be possible for us to foregather. Yours, Richard. W.A. Robotham 184 | ||
