IDENTITY BADGES

As a means of preventing unauthorised people from entering the Works, every employee of Rolls Royce will be provided with an identity badge, which he must at all times wear in a prominent place on his clothing when in the factory.

The badges will be issued as they come to hand and the regulations as regards wearing them will come into effect on Monday October 23rd.

These badges will remain the property of the Company and must be returned when the person leaves our employ.

They must be regarded as valuable articles, and every care should be taken to see that they are not lost or stolen, or that they do not get into other hands.

The badge consists of a rubber holder and identity card, together with a protective piece of celluloid. From time to time the card will be renewed.

Employees should sign the centre disc of identity card and detach it, insert the signed disc in holder and cover with celluloid supplied for this purpose.

The Gatekeepers have instructions to refuse entrance to the Works to anyone who is not in possession of his badge.

Loss of a badge should at once be reported to the Departmental Superintendent.

E.W. Hives,
Director and General Works Manager.
