X.2894 - TUNGSTEN POINTS TAKEN FROM LIBERTY IGNITION.

Please find attached copy of my assistant's report on a pair of tungsten points taken from a Liberty Delco ignition and fitted to a blade and screw of the R.R. standard battery ignition for test.

The fellow pair to this was sent to you under cover of our EFC8/T24.9.20 for your own test and observation. We are sending to you the pair upon which the report has been made also for your observation.

We have lately received half a dozen pairs of blades and screws actually fitted with tungsten by the Tungsten Manufacturing Co. who are the English manufacturing Agents for the Fansteel Co. of U.S.A. From these contacts which are now on test on the bench and on experimental and test cars we hope for better results. We have also a set of these from the Fansteel Co. sent by Mr. Olley which we have ourselves fitted up on the blades and screws. These also are on test.

EFC.
