(Handwritten: X3438) (Stamped: RECEIVED) We hand you herewith three broken fan blades, which have been returned to us by Cricklewood. It is alleged that one of the Fan Blades broke, which we assume to be the one marked "A", which caused the belt to catch the other blades and break them off. These broken blades in turn damaged the radiator. Cricklewood are of the opinion that they will have to carry out the work of replacing the fan blades and repairing the radiator free of charge to customer, with which we concur. After examining these blades, we shall be glad if you will pass them on to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} for examination. We presume the replacement of the blades and the repairs to the radiator will have to be charged to R.D.D. It would appear that the fan blade which was the first to break, had been cracked for some time before it actually broke off.
