If tooth contact is such that noise is apt to be produced as described on page 65, readjust as outlined in 1, 2 and 3 on pages 65 and 66. it is definitely known that the lubricant in the differential and that being added is the same brand. 5. Connect propeller shaft at rear companion flange, using new cap screw locks. 6. Road test car for gear noise. SERVICING PROPELLER SHAFT AND UNIVERSAL JOINTS It will seldom be necessary to disassemble the universal joint.
