Messrs John Marston, Ltd.,
WOLVERHAMPTON.

For the attention of Mr.Dunn.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to our discussion of Thursday last, re oil cooler failures and radiator matrices etc., there were one or two points which we omitted to clear up-

(1) Repair of oil coolers which have leaked either in Serivce or under our routine pressure test here - we think that such leaks should be repaired in the following manner -

(a) In the case of hand soldered case coolers, the matrix should be removed from the case and the case and matrix then dipped as a complete unit in the same manner that Production coolers are made at present.

(b) In the case of latest type dipped coolers, the cooler should be re-dipped as a unit.

In this manner, any repaired coolers put in Serivce again should be as reliable as a new unit. We should like to know whether you agree with this and would like to have your assurance that all repairs to coolers in the future will be carried out in this manner. An early reply regarding this point will be appreciated.

(2) What composition solder are you using at present.? (for oil coolers)
