+4038. 1st. May 1929. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG. Messrs. H.M.Hobson Ltd., Acton Vale, London W.3. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Major Searight. We have complaints of the unsatisfactory performance in a tropical climate of a gauge which we fitted in one of our 40/50 HP. cars - KS.100. You will recollect that only about 3 cars were thus equipped. They were the first gauges fitted after the sump was deleted from the bottom of the tank. We want to replace this gauge with a pump type unit. We presume that we could use the dashboard unit, pump and triple air line of KS.162.P. It would only require a different tank unit with modified drillings in the top flange. If this is so, we should be very much obliged if you would let us know by return whether our supposition is correct, and if so, how soon you can provide a tank unit for KS.100. On receipt of this information we will pass you our official order. We believe you have a print of the tank to which we refer and for which our KS.100 was evolved. The number is F.72040. Will you please let us have another print of KS.180.P. as we appear to have mislaid ours. Yours faithfully, | ||
