Dear Sirs,
We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 9th inst.
We very much regret that up to the moment, we have not been successful in making up a satisfactory Joint, after trying various materials. The nearest we have been, so far, is as the rough sample flange enclosed. Possibly, this may interest you.
We still have the matter in hand, and if you can make any suggestion we shall be pleased to help you in any way possible.
Yours faithfully,
THE COPPER AND ASBESTOS WASHER CO LTD.
p.p. [Illegible Signature]
We have also enclosed a filter gauze washer we make in very large quantities for another motor car manufacturer. Perhaps this may also interest you.
