How LEVERAGE Kills the Rough Road Jolts

When your wheel hits a bump, the resulting jar travels through wheel and axle to the spring. Ordinarily this jar would travel directly through the spring and shackle to the frame and body of the car; but when S & S equipment is put between the spring and frame, it furnishes two pivot points instead of one to absorb the whip and buck, and the direct transmission of the jar is changed to indirect. At the same time the lever arm, stationary at the end connection slightly counterflexes the spring, thereby reversing the direction of the spring's action. This reversal of direction pulls the passenger down into the cushions instead of against the top of the car. S. & S. equipment also lengthens your springs, thereby adding to your riding comfort.

FOR FRONT OF FORD

Not a shock or jar, no matter how severe, gets past S. & S. Shock Absorbers. The Shock stops right there. Moreover, there are no parts to break or noisy springs to weaken, no straps to break. S. & S. never lose their positive shock eliminating action even after years of use.
