HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4554 X7770 To - Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to E.Ltd.Es. HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Em. Cr.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} re Phantoms. Confirming conversation on the telephone, after further considerable careful consideration we want to reverse our decision about no more Phantoms and to ask you to make 25 more. I understand you think you can do this without breaking continuity of output and our idea would be to take them at the rate of 4 a week. We had considered the matter carefully before I came to Derby but it is a case of second thoughts seeming best and a question of which course of action is likely to produce the least risks. I will explain in greater detail our reasons for changing our minds when I see you on Friday. This will of course absorb 25 of the sets of bar and billet material which we had previously ordered.
