X 5664 X 8665 DYNAMO OUTPUT 20 HP. AND PHANTOM II X5663 X 7660 X8664 X5661 REF: R1/M16.11.29 and R1/M21.11.29. It is agreed that in certain circumstances of running there may be insufficiency of charge when the normal output standard dynamo is used. The requirements of battery life in the opposite extreme circumstances are such that the present normal outputs in the two cases have, in the past, been considered the most effective compromises for the average cases. In both our Instruction Books we still have the passage :- "Charging in the garage from an external source, with the battery in position on the car, is strongly recommended where conditions of running are such that a heavy demand is made on the battery, for instance, where much night running is done". We also recommend in both Books the use of very low consumption side lamp bulbs where much night parking is to be done. To cater for cases of extreme demand, we developed the Higher Output dynamos both for 20 HP. and Phantom I giving higher outputs in accordance with curves | ||
