x7080. from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}9/T30.8.29 SS{S. Smith} CARBURETTER As I have already reported to you verbally we have trouble on the dynamometer at maximum revs. in obtaining sufficient petrol flow passed the float chamber needle seating. We only just get sufficient flow if all the mechanism in the float chamber is correct, without taking advantage of the small limits. I should like to make it quite clear to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} that this fault is entirely a float chamber trouble, and has nothing to do with the autovac supply. We have tried out at your suggestion the two needles which you instructed with different seating angles, and the one with an included angle of 90° is quite satisfactory.
