Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 21st inst., re hand pump as applied to the Hobson K-S Telegage installations on your cars; firstly, we agree that a spring loaded pump presents advantages "A" and "B" under the following conditions:- (a). The air delivered by the pump is introduced into the top of the tank unit, and forces the petrol out. (b). That the gauge is of the instantaneous reading type, and comprises a dip tube of small capacity in comparison with our bell system.
