Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 18th instant confirming the matters discussed between yourself, Mr. Longley and the writer. The various points enumerated in your letter adequately cover our discussion and, as arranged on the 17th, we are now refitting the Bentley axle, brake and drum to our test machine with a view to investigating the brake noises occurring on a proportion of your cars. As soon as tangible results are forthcoming from this test we will again communicate with you. With regard to the orders which you are placing for test sets of linings, plus those for rig tests, in Bentley sizes, these are already in course of manufacture and will be despatched to you as soon as they are completed.
