SALES DIRECTOR'S OFFICE.

24th February, 1939.

W.A.Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Mr.Robotham,

Many thanks for yours of yesterday's date. I am very glad to note that you contemplate changing to the gearless type of attachment. Whilst from the point of view of accuracy this does not compare favourably with the geared design I really think for all practical purposes it is sufficiently accurate, quite apart from the fact that it is less costly. The most important point, however, is that it has the affect of eliminating the difficulties which are insurmountable with the present job.

Heater: Thanks very much for so kindly pursuing the question of the Heater with Mr.Steadman. I will pass on your news to Mr.Grose, our Heater Specialist, and arrange for him to make contact. After their meeting may I send Mr.Grose along to report to you and ascertain your wishes with a view to carrying this matter a stage further.

Sincerely yours,

Charles Whincish
