OUR REF. JAD/MMF. YOUR REF. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/ML. 28th January 1941. 1015 Rolls-Royce Limited, DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, I thank you for your letter of the 22nd instant. I feel sure that we could not convert the axle here. The first operation would be to remove the tubes. This should be done by cutting off close to the casting, and then boring out the portion that is welded in. We have nothing towards this, but feel sure that you would have the necessary tools. I would gladly be present during the period you would be needing any help, but we here are now entirely dismantled on axles, and the Universal Joint Works cannot help. Yours sincerely, J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} A.{Mr Adams} Daniell | ||
