| COPY Engines F/HCM-3 The Bristol Aeroplane Co.Ltd., Filton House, Bristol. 12th August 1935. Messrs.Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd. 16, Conduit Street, W.1. Dear Sirs, I have just completed 19,000 miles on my 3½ litre Bentley, and have worn out two complete sets of India tyres. I do not think these tyres wear well, and should like to fit Dunlops 90S. Is there any objection to this. Are you experiencing much trouble with vapour lock? My car runs very erratically, and I think the trouble is due to faulty petrol supply. I can find nothing wrong with the pump, or the system, and it looks to me as if the trouble is due to vapour lock. I have had a certain amount of plug trouble lately, oiling up one or two plugs when driving through towns in hot weather. The plugs I have been using are No. 765A. What plugs would you recommend for driving in a hot climate such as Austria? As I am going away on the Continent and taking my car with me, I should be grateful if you could let me have replies to the above as soon as possible. Yours faithfully, (Sd) A.H.R.Fedden.
