S.III WING RIPPLING

The proposed styling strips have now been fitted to 467-XMA for approval, and the car has been seen by the following Retailers:-

Jack Barclay
H.R.Owen
H.A.Fox
Mann Egerton
Broughtons
Watsons
Rippons
Newbury
Weighbridge Autos
James Young

Jack Barclay himself has agreed to co-operate to the full. Now that JPB has seen the car with the door flash made longer and more refined, he has expressed himself as being pleasantly surprised how well the car looks (that is, with the S.III type of architecture.

There are varying views as to whether we can sell the strips as an improvement, but the majority view is that we shall sell quite a lot. Most Retailers are prepared to place orders for the strips and the idea is that they will make a start by fitting them to all S.III cars taken back in part exchange, and on any complaint case.

JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} has also seen the car and approves the appearance. He was also pleasantly surprised.
