YOUR REF: Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}3/NJ482245 IN REPLY PLEASE QUOTE: SLB/MJ Messrs Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. 11th August, 1922 Dear Sirs, We thank you for your enquiry dated 4th August, calling for one portable testing set and for testing condensers. We are quoting for our Cat. No. 47311, fig. 18, list 164, this instrument being the nearest which we can supply to meet your requirements. Unfortunately we are unable to supply you with anything sufficiently sensitive which could be used on a 12-volt circuit. The deflections obtained on this testing set would not be readable with the smallest capacities if used on 12 volts but they would be quite alright if you could increase this voltage to 100 volts. Failing this we think that the only alternative is for you to use a reflecting instrument, which will, of course, no longer be portable. We trust you will find that this instrument will suit your requirements and that we shall have the pleasure of an order from you at an early date. Yours faithfully, For THE CAMBRIDGE & PAUL INSTRUMENT CO. LTD. Enc: Quotation No. 27452. List No. 164. Handwritten text: ETC 97C4/T3.8.22 Stamped text: RECEIVED AUG 14 1922 | ||
