Continued description of a regulator's operation, involving carbon granules, an auxiliary contact, and an operating coil.

This auxiliary contact connects the field as a shunt across the first few turns of the main operating coil which are of heavier wire than the remainder. The result of this is that there is no top speed limit to the action of the regulator. | ||
