-2- HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Yng.4/Ma.1.7.32.Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} On checking over the spark gaps after the test it was found that no measurable erosion had taken place. Finally our standard electrical tests for insulation breakdown was carried out, being so arranged as to test the mica insulation inside the screening shield. All plugs proved to be sound. CONCLUSION. The running carried out was not of sufficiently long duration to enable any definite conclusions to be drawn as to the resistance which these plugs offer to erosion as compared with the unscreened 116 type. However the tests have shown that the 3 Ck{Mr Clark} is quite satisfactory from a heat resisting standpoint, so that by adopting this type of plug the main difficulty as regards the erosion trouble would be eliminated since the spark gap can be adjusted to compensate for the erosion.
