We send you herewith LeC 4740 (2 Sheets) of the four port induction system for the duplex carburetter on Phantom III, and also LeC 4748 of a mock-up of the above system for use on six port cylinder heads. The mock-up system uses the same central chamber as the final induction system adapted for water in place of exhaust heating. The only new parts required are the four half-induction pipes coupling up the central box to the half-induction pipes which have already been instructed on LeC.4739. The two water inlet connections to the mixing chamber should be coupled together and connected to the outlet from one of the top water rails. The outlet pipe from the mixing chamber should lead to the suction side of the pump. The floor of the mixing chamber has been lowered slightly to provide a well, and bosses have been provided for drain pipe connections, particulars of which will be issued later. For experimental purposes these bosses should be drilled and plugged. E/PSN. Att: LeC 4740 (2 Sheets). LeC 4748. | ||
