One of these machines of the battery is constantly in the hands of the Tool Room and when repaired another takes its place. It should be pointed out here, that we always lap the Spring Drive gear in its assembled state, i.e., as a complete unit. On the question of the boring tackle for the Crankcases and the alignment bars and tools for checking the parallelism of bores, we have taken the matter up with No: 4 Machine Shop and Mr. Bullough and Mr. Clarke are going into these points most thoroughly.
