Dear Sirs,

AVIATION FUELS

Further to our conversation with Mr. Rowbotham yesterday afternoon, we would like to make it clear that up to the present the Air Ministry have given us no information at all with regard to proposed or forthcoming changes in the specification of their D.T.D.134 Fuel.

Under the circumstances you will realise that we are not in a position to discuss the subject - still less would it be proper for us to submit fuels for test to the aircraft industry which are supposed to meet conditions which, so far as we are concerned, are hypothetical.

We, therefore, regret very much that you should inadvertently have been led to believe that we were prepared to supply you with a fuel which meets conditions the Ministry may lay down in future, and we trust that you have not been put to any great inconvenience.

In the case arising yesterday we understood
