We have inspected the body at Messrs. Hoopers', but until the chassis arrives we cannot pass an opinion on a lot of the points.

The scuttle would appear to be about 1¼" longer than we had drawn, and to rise at the centre to a height about 1¼" above what we had shewn. On account of this it will be necessary to increase the packing behind the steering column bracket on the instrument board to accommodate the extra length (1¼") and we have wired you for longer countersunk screws.

The instrument board should be made no deeper than is necessary, and should be extended down by an easy curve to include the two longer countersunk screws attaching the bracket. The packing must not be level with the longer lower edge of the board or it will be visible and unsightly.

We have arranged that Sp.{Mr Spinney} should supply us with a standard position for the instrument board on future cars, but of those already in construction each one will have to be treated on its merits.

The detail of the rear wings will not match up with the body at the rear but leaves a gap between the wing and the wheel arch. We have agreed that Messrs. Hoopers either modify the wings made at Derby or supply new ones, whichever be the best job from both result and quickness point of view.
