X.3711. MULTIPLE STORAGE BATTERY CORPORATION ESTABLISHED 1908 350 MADISON AVENUE NEW YORK CITY CABLE ADDRESS MULTIBAT, N.Y. PLANT JAMAICA, LONG ISLAND September 30, 1931. Rolls-Royce Limited, Nightingale Road, Ferby, England. Gentlemen: ATTENTION: MR. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} FOWLER CLARK: Answering your letter of September 6th, we regret the vibrating machine has not been perfected for testing purposes. Will this vibrating test be necessary? The reason of this inquiry is that the Rolls-Royce is supposed to be free from less vibration than other cars manufactured, owing to the perfect springs. In all the Rolls the writer has ridden in, at all speeds, he has never experienced any vibration and always observed the ease one has to carry on a normal speech while at any speed. However, we will look forward to have the results to whatever test you may apply, and kindly remember that a battery deteriorates unless it is being charged and discharged at least once a month - idleness is destructive. Appreciating any further news regarding same, we are, Yours very truly, [Signature: Jasper Payne] JB:F | ||
