Installation instructions for front Lovejoy hydraulic shock absorbers.

FRONT.
IMPORTANT, -Read all instructions carefully before installing. ABSORBERS ARE SECURED TO OUTSIDE OF FRAME IN BACK OF AXLE. DRAWINGS SHOWN BELOW ARE VIEWS OF THE RIGHT SIDE OF CAR.

Original small hole in frame.

FIRST HOLE. -Draw a vertical line flush with the edges of the two rear radiator bracket support bolts, as shown, and "spot" and drill 1/2" hole, 2-1/4" up from bottom of frame, on this line.

SECOND HOLE. -Drill 33/64" hole, 5" back from center of first hole and 2-11/16" up from bottom of frame. NOTE, -As this hole will overlap a small hole already in frame, use template (#T19), as a guide, while drilling same, by temporarily securing it to First Hole with a 3/4" spacer in back of it. SEE SUPPLEMENTARY SHEET #5001.

Use #2R, round, reinforcing Washer inside frame at 2nd hole.
Use 3/4" Spacers between absorber and frame at both holes.
Use #2R, special flat side, reinforcing Washer inside frame at 1st hole, placing flat side next to radiator bracket.

4" Bolts
Use 1/4" x 1 1/4" Rd. Spacers between B5's and axle.
Strap
B-5 Brackets for strap
Secure B-5 thru hole in axle with 2-3/4" Bolt.
with 1-1/8" Spacer
