| X7961 Exptl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}17/KW. 11th June, 1934. A.H.R. Fedden, Esq., The Bristol Aeroplane Co.Ltd., Filton House, BRISTOL. Dear Mr. Fedden, Click in Transmission of your Car. There are two other possibilities which have occurred to me in connection with this trouble - (1) Unless your wheel hubs are well greased (on the cones) you will have trouble in tightening your wheels properly, the result being that they make a click on the splines. (2) The front engine mounting, which is an ordinary bush, sometimes clicks when it is not lubricated. This click is difficult to locate and sounds surprisingly like a transmission noise. Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
