To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from G/Rb.{R. Bowen} [Struck through: c.c to Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/MS.] X328 Phantom III Chassis Engine Coupling (6020) Coupling Shafts. We are informed by Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/MS that you wish to know the cost difference of the Coupling Shaft - rear G83429, and Coupling Shaft - front G82463, if this were forged by us in Carbon Steel (201.D) instead of as present in 3½% Nickel Steel. Please note that the saving in Factory Cost so far as the forgings are concerned would be 2/- and 2/5d. respectively. G/Rb.{R. Bowen} | ||
