(8) Rear Axles Ct'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}
It was decided not to work on the design of the Junior axle until the axles for the Senior range could be costed.

(9) Instrument Boards.
Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, has asked Messrs. Smith & Sons for a patch of instruments with interior illumination for fitting to our cars.

In the meantime Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} is to contact Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} with a view to producing 2 sets of instruments with interior illumination such as we use on our production cars.

(10) Myth.
It was agreed that Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} should produce a specification for the Myth. The shortest cuts to produce model are to be taken when drawing up this specification.

The engine is to be reprojected as a 10 H.P. and the cylinder centres reduced.

When the draft specification has been completed and approved Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} is to produce the designs of the parts which we have to manufacturer or obtain specially bought out, when we shall be in a position to ask for the design of the Myth car to be costed.

(a) The cost of manufacturing the car will be controlled by volume and 10 H.P. since after the War cheap transportation will interest the most people, 10HP. is chosen.

(b) Only such units as can be made in the factory more economically than by specialists will not be bought out.

(c) A reliable cost department is necessary before design work can proceed.

The costing will be based on quantity production methods similar to our competitors and based on the assumption of an economical sales organisation.

(d) It was agreed that the coach-work section is the one which lags most behind and is also the one of which we are most ignorant.
