To-Hox or.Bar rv-Hox c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} or Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Est. 6139 WST BY/RD.3/B.4.12.36. PETROL PUMP SWITCH. The petrol pump switch was fully discussed with Messrs. Lucas yesterday, and in conjunction with their Drawing Office and Moulding Dept., we were able to get the number of tools required down to one press tool and one moulding die. The moulding of the knob and insulation of the spindle can be accomplished in one operation. This has reduced the tool charges from approx. £60 to £35, and the cost of the switches are to be approx. two shillings each, with delivery commencing within 3 weeks from this date. The model examined by E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and BY/Cgh.{W Clough}, has been left with Lucas' and will be returned and handed to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. early next week. A simple method of providing the stop was evolved and will be fitted on all future switches. BY/RD. | ||
