Secret. 666 To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}. from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c.c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/Std. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/N.16.9.38. Wraith 80 - Radiator Shutters. On PD.263 herewith we shew the arrangement of the Radiator Lower Shutter Bearings for the Wraith 80 Radiator already issued on PD.233. We had deleted the cuckoo-trap as the starting handle hole is almost below the shutters and will be very inconspicuous, especially when half buried in the apron and hidden by the centre lamp. The design of the bearing follows closely that of Wraith III, EW.1322. This scheme is urgently needed by 'E' section of the Detailing Dept. as they are now engaged in detailing PD.233.
