With reference to the request for a stronger clutch stop spring. The spring which we have fitted successfully to experimental cars is to the following specification :-

8 working coils of 12 SWG. (.104") with two coils ground flat making 10 coils.

Load when compressed to 1.100" = 40 lbs.

Stress 57000 lbs/sq.in.
