BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to C. Y4086 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG24.6.22. GOSHAWK 11. Y4086 Y4209 Maddocks, so far, has not done much running with 7-Goshawk-11, he has been busy re-fixing the battery box and new brackets and also fitting some new type front springs (CJ. complained of the others bumping badly) As soon as he has done the necessary work on the car, he will keep it running daily. In connection with 7-Goshawk-11, we should like the drivers to particularly note the following features:- (1) R.W. wheels - whether they creak - ease of attaching and detaching. (2) Whether the brakes are silent and remain effective. (3) Whether the front springs bump on the buffers excessively. We anticipate, during the running of this car, we shall want to fit to it a new generator. We may also want to fit the new type fan. They may be other parts, which it has been decided to alter, which will pay us to fit on to the car. We assume that when the Amateurs take over this car Maddocks will be able to return to the Works. We recommend however that the first driver who takes over the car should spend a day with Maddocks going over the points on the car which one expects, in the course of running, may need adjustment and also the points which need lubrication. This driver could then pass on that information to the next man to take charge of the car. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
