X.5250 X.5005 With further reference to N. scheme 3274. sent you yesterday, we wish to say that we have no intention of altering the thermostat control of the shutters if, as we believe, that is already standard, in fact, there is not intended to be any alteration to the top tank except the .5" of width in order that we may not interfere with coachwork. We did not work out the springs, but the one controlling the jaws is intended to be about 8 lbs. The forward one is less than this say 5 or 6 lbs, but it is a stiffer spring so that its load rapidly increases. The object of the forward spring is to enable the fan belt to be inserted by pressing back the jaws until there is a space equal to the width of the belt. It is intended that the numberplate should be carried below the front cross member similar to Phantom. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
