X.2515 - FUSE WIRE FOR LUCAS SWITCHBOX Handwritten: X.3749 Handwritten: Breeden We discussed the question with Mr. Thacker as to the advisability of using 30 S.W.G. tin lead fuse wire in place of the very fine tinned copper fuse wire which is at present standard. The one objection raised against this wire is that it tends to oxidise and become brittle, especially when slightly hot, but Mr. Breeden did not think this objection at all serious and considered that on the whole, taking into account the better contact secured, the use of this wire would be more satisfactory than the fine tinned copper wire at present in use. Owing to a misunderstanding and apparent inaction on the part of the suppliers, we have not so far been able to obtain such wire, but we are expecting this at any moment. Ck.{Mr Clark} | ||
