Correcting a previous error regarding the weights of Exide and Edison accumulator cells.

In reply to your memo R5/B23713, we wish to apologise for an error in our previous memo to you, and at the same time to exonerate Mr Ellis from all blame in this matter. The word "Exides" was omitted in typing the tabulated columns in our earlier memo, which should read as follows :- Re Accumulators. Weight per amp. hour (actual) Edisons 12 volts Discharging rate 8 amps= .81 lbs. " " " " " 1 " = .55 " Exides 4 " " " 1 " = .38 " " " " " " 3 " = .33 " The weight of a 12 volt Exide will be 3 times the weight of the 4 volts. We have no Exides for heavy discharge but Mr Nadin states that there is a set on order for lighting work. We very much regret the unnecessary delay caused by this error, and we will in future arrange that all typed copies of figures and tabulations shall be thoroughly and systematically checked. | ||
