A jump spark distributor is used, the cover
carrying small rectangular points instead of segments. The
interior of the cover is ventilated by an opening in the
front covered with copper gauze, and also by a number of
small holes.

The distribution gear is made of gun-metal with
lubrication of the bearing provided by means of an oil wick
in a holder passed through from the outside of the frame.
It carries the metal rotor and the two points forming the
safety gap.

One additional earthing brush is provided at the
base of the machine. An oilway is provided for the front
bearing only.
