R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 798, 10-12-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2947 A jump spark distributor is used, the cover carrying small rectangular points instead of segments. The interior of the cover is ventilated by an opening in the front covered with copper gauze, and also by a number of small holes. The distribution gear is made of gun-metal with lubrication of the bearing provided by means of an oil wick in a holder passed through from the outside of the frame. It carries the metal rotor and the two points forming the safety gap. One additional earthing brush is provided at the base of the machine. An oilway is provided for the front bearing only.
