ROLLS ROYCE. (SERVICE DEPOT)

CRICKLEWOOD, LONDON.

Visited 11.7.35, by H.J.Egginton and Mr.Hammond, Service Depot, Acton Vale.

P. 100 S HEADLAMPS.

The above Depot was visited by arrangement with Mr. West of Derby.

The visit was made to ascertain the troubles experienced with the above lamps and to offer suggestions which would enable them to rectify the trouble without sending the lamps to Service Depots for overhaul.

The chief concern was the cable being severed at the back of the reflector and the consequent danger caused by the failure of the light (blacking out).

They were apparently free from dipping trouble. The slight modification required to the action bracket was explained, which they agreed to do when necessary.

The fitter who attends to all the lamp fitting and wiring, could not recall any blacking out trouble with the reflectors containing new cables, which are supported near the reflector in a cable bush, and upon the action bracket in a cable clip.

Mr. Bellringer requested eight sets of the following parts should be sent to him to meet future requirements, and that he would afterwards obtain supplies from Acton Vale.

ONE SET COMPRISES:-

1. Complete reflector (less bulb)
1. Langite Strip.
1. Extension Rim.
6. Fixing Wires (for glass & extension rim)
